Immunoprecipitation is a method by which a protein can be selectively purified from a complex mixture using an antibody in combination with a resin that binds the antibody. KPL's Immunoprecipitation Kits are designed to provide a versatile set of reagents, protease inhibitors, and Protein A Agarose that can be used for a variety of applications. Sufficient reagents are provided to lyse cells, solubilize and immunoprecipitate antigens from 20 x 1 mL cell aliquots with extra volume supplied for additional wash formulations.
Features and Benefits
- Flexibility: the content of the lysis buffer and wash solution can be modified to suit a specific protein.
- Protease Inhibitor Cocktail minimizes loss of target protein due to protease activity during lysis.
- All necessary reagents are conveniently supplied to perform immunoprecipitation (except for
specific antibody), reducing time and expense in preparation.
