Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the AGS-J, Shimadzu introduces the AGS-X. The AGS-X caters to the Rubber, Plastic and Film industries, enabling efficient, powerful tensile and compression tests, and also has the ability to perform bending tests of thermostatic resin, peeling testing and the plastic 3 point bending test.

Complete instrument control and data processing are provided by a data handling system included in the system. Its custom-designed software provides real time results, multi-point calibration, data storage and manipulation. Data is automatically collected and stored for comparison analysis.

The AGS-X utilizes the newly released, easy-to-use TRAPEZIUM LITE X software. A refined interface,
with fewer buttons present on screen, provides easy one-touch method selection. Many tedious operations have been automated using macros, so that a sequence of operations frequently conducted after testing will be fully automated (for example: creating a report or printing out results). In addition,
the "Quick List Method" makes frequently used tests easy to find and start instantly, and many built-in functions test in accordance with JIS, ISO and ASTM methods.
